Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a good week and that you’re taking great care of your body on all levels! Remember it’s important to do your best to take care of your body – the only place you have to live. This is why I like to follow an 80/20 rule and that means eating nutrient-dense foods 80% of the time and allowing a few indulgences 20% of the time. This is a lifestyle habit that I have created for myself over the years and I love how it makes my body feel. I don’t believe in diets because although they may work in the short term, they don’t set you up for success in the long term and they feel restrictive. Remember you don’t have to eat “perfectly” every day to be healthy. But focusing on getting the nutrients that your body needs most of the time will help! Those of you that know me, know that I am all about Protein + Fiber + Greens!! Among all the other whole goodness foods I eat. With that in mind, here’s my favourite green power smoothie recipe that you can make to quickly boost your intake of protein, greens and fiber! 💚GREEN Power Smoothie 1 serving Vanilla Protein Powder 1/2 cup frozen banana 1/2 cup frozen pineapple 1 Scoop Spirulina Greens or greens of your choice Handful Spinach 1/2 avocado 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, add more or less depending on consistency Blend and enjoy! 💚YUM!!!!
